Students

Participate in hydrographic long-line cruise (1-2 months). For each leg we seek 2 to 4 students for CTD/deck operations, 1 student to assist with CFC analysis (typically laboratory chemistry background), and 1 student to assist with LADCP operations (typically physical oceanography background).

While graduate students at US institutions are given preference, undergraduates, postdocs, and oceanographically inclined technicians may also apply. Note only student salary covered and those without US residency or work visas cannot receive salary.

The program pays all travel costs as well as tuition costs for students from US institutions while at sea and traveling for US GO-SHIP.
