"We're looking for someone who is comfortable in a Linux environment
and can do some Linux system administration, is self-motivated and
curious, has good people and communication skills (interacting with
the techs on the ships as well as the scientists who sail), and is
willing to move to Hawaii. Some programming, especially in Python,
would be good.
A soon-to-graduate disaffected MS or PhD student in Physical Oceanography
(or any quantitative earth sciences field) would be great.
Our active group presently consists of 3 (including me), and
in addition Eric (Firing) is still very involved."
